Our Mission: Discover the French culture and language
The Alliance Française of Greater Phoenix is part of La Fédération des Alliances Françaises. Established in 1883, the Alliance Française has a proven reputation for providing quality language instruction as well as social events to the local communities.
The Greater Phoenix chapter is an all-volunteer, non-profit educational and cultural organization that seeks to develop knowledge and appreciation of French culture, to encourage the study of the French language and to promote friendship among Americans and all French-speaking people.
Located in the southwest corner of the United States, Arizona shares a border with Mexico in the south and the states of California, Utah and New Mexico. The capital city of Phoenix, with its suburbs, has grown to become the 6th largest metropolis in the nation and is host to many high-tech corporations and financial institutions.
In Phoenix, we are fortunate to have a small but active group of Franco-American families who assist area newcomers with their integration into our community. The great variety of our cultural offerings act as the basis of attraction for new members.
